This design was inspired by my love of the countryside, and collecting berries and foliage to make my Christmas wreath, one of my favourite past times, and very nostalgic.
Finished size 14 x 17 inches.

This is a small stitching project perfect for the festive season. It is whimsical, folksy and primitive in design. Two hares hold a either a sprig of Holly or Mistletoe. When hung together they give each other a festive botanical gift for the season. They can be hung on a Christmas Tree, on a Christmas Wreath, sit on a mantle, shelf or the Christmas dinner table.
The two Hare decorations are each approximately 4 inches long.

Hand dyed woven wool packs for the quilt or individual Fat Sixteenths (approx 9 x 11 inches) are now available to purchase in my Etsy shop.
I use the wool for my wool applique pieces in my designs. This high quality, hand dyed wool is made by Tonja of Blackberry Primitives in America. These textiles are dyed by hand, lending to the creative process and variegation of the colour throughout the finished product.

Through tumbling leaves and grassy meadows full of flowers, the hares run.
This beautiful design was inspired by my love of the countryside, botanicals and the seasons that offer us an ever changing landscape.

This project is whimsical, folksy and primitive in design, and incorporates my love of mixing different fabric types and hand stitching techniques.

I use a mixture of cottons and hand dyed woven wool, and include my favourite past times of hand appliqué, embroidery and English paper piecing.
